From GSC:
…Most of modern disease has to do with the exposure and consumption of industrialized and commercialized products. I’ve been reading Laura Ingalls Wilder’s Little House series with my daughter, and it strikes me that in our modern life we have lost essential knowledge of where things come from, how things are made, and what materials go into our basic needs such as our food and shelter. When Laura Ingalls Wilder was a child, she ate the bear meat her father hunted and the cheese made from the cows she and her sister milked. She wore cotton clothes that her mother sewed and slept under handmade quilts and gathered furs. Her family sat on wooden benches they carved by hand. No flame retardants, no teflon, no plastic, no high fructose syrup, no MSG. Laura Ingalls Wilder lived to be 90 years old.
