In 2017 bills to end US marijuana prohibition were introduced in the Senate by Cory Booker of New Jersey and in the House by East Bay Rep. Barbara Lee… Senator Booker made a cameo appearance calling for sanity in O’Shaughnessy’s last print edition (scroll down to page 39). And we wrote a song for Barbara Lee in 2003 when she cast the lone vote against funding the US invasion of Iraq. The Bush-Cheney Administration had lied about Saddam Hussein having weapons of mass destruction, and sold his overthrow as a response to the attack on the World Trade Center (which was planned in Hamburg and Afghanistan and carried out mainly by Saudis).
