Sorry for the late notice —the discussion starts at 9:45 a.m. Beltway Time.

On February 21, 2017, the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (the National Academies) will host an open stakeholder engagement meeting in Washington, D.C., to discuss key messages from the new report, The Health Effects of Cannabis and Cannabinoids: The Current State of Evidence and Recommendations for Research.

The event, which will also be webcast, will provide an opportunity for authoring committee members, researchers, stakeholders, and public health professionals to discuss key messages from the report, as well as proposed recommendations and opportunities to advance the cannabis research agenda.

The report, released last month from the National Academies, was written by an expert, ad hoc committee of the National Academies and presents nearly 100 conclusions related to the health effects of cannabis and cannabinoid use.
