There’s a new sheriff in town—Bryan Carmody, MD,  a pediatric nephrologist who teaches at Eastern Virginia Medical School and calls his website thesheriffofsodium.com, In a series of brilliant blog posts and tweets, Carmody has exposed the bureaucrats who run the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME) as profiteers.  He uses the term “excess revenue” to describe the money the NBME honchos have generated in recent years and siphoned off in salaries and benefits.
